Love Story

Some lovers make babies, others build businesses, while most spin stories—stories in which they choose to live together.

Scott and Julie Stewart are one such couple that created a TV series Kate & Mim-Mim together. One day, they looked at their daughter Kate, and thought that a girl as whimsy and wild as her (in a good way) would make for a great cartoon character.

One fine day they put their ideas to work and a great show was born.

Listening to Scott and Julie talk about their creative journey together made me fall in love once again. Isn't it fascinating how love continues to spin its own story, regardless (or because?) of swipes, dates, and deletes?

Another great love story is how the ‪#‎BrooklynBridge‬ was born.

While work on the bridge was still in its early stages, Washington Roebling, its overseer, was paralyzed with decompression sickness, a workplace hazard. It left Roebling stranded to his apartment. His wife Emily Warren Roebling then became the written link between her husband and the engineers on the site.

I see this bridge everyday, as I chug along the N train, running parallel on the Manhattan Bridge. My eyes remain firmly fixed to my phone, as I swipe through the day's events. Today, I accidentally pulled out a page of history and found this story.

Be sure you swipe into its history too. Of course on Wikipedia:
